Day 5 [23rd Nov]: Hangzhou to Shanghai

We started the day by checking out of hotel and taking a public bus to the railway station. After collecting our train tickets, we walked in the district in search of breakfast. We settled for some noodles in a muslim halal restaurant called 兰州老字号正宗牛肉拉面. The beef noodles and the dumpling soup sure tasted great.

After our heavy breakfast, we went to Burger King to chill for a while before heading to our train ride to Shanghai. We boarded our train at close to 11 am and reached Shanghai at almost 12pm. From Shanghai Hongqiao railway station, we took the subway to Yuyuan in search of ibis Shanghai Yu Garden.

After checking in and sorting out our daypack, we went in search of lunch at 上海老饭店. Along the way, we passed by the 老城隍庙广场, which has many beautiful traditional buildings and is a tourist spot for snacks and souvenirs. After settling down in the restaurant,we ordered some dishes and also 小笼包 for our lunch.

Next, we headed to Shanghai Circus World to purchase tickets for the ERA acrobatics show in the evening. We went to a shopping mall in city centre next to chill before heading back to Shanghai Circus World for the acrobatics performance. Photography and videography are not allowed for this performance, so there's nothing for me to share much about this entertaining performance.
