Day 6 [24th Nov]: Shanghai

The day started with a slight drizzle and we were thinking of visiting 老城隍庙 before heading to Shanghai Happy Valley. We went to 老城隍庙广场 to have our breakfast and it was quite a feast.

After our heavy breakfast, we visited 老城隍庙 and also decided to change our plans for the day since the rain would make a theme park visit less enjoyable.

Next, we visitied 豫园 which is just nearby. It's a really pretty garden and the colours of autumn sure make it look pretty.

We went to Oriental Pearl Tower (东方明珠) next but decided not to go up since the fog seems a bit too thick to have a good view from the top. Instead, we settled for a late lunch at a mall nearby. We managed to find 南翔馒头店 and decided to have some Shanghai dimsum and soups there. Apparently, their original branch at 老城隍庙广场 is very famous and always attract a long queue.

After filling up our stomachs, we walked to 滨江大道 to catch night scenes along 黄浦江. We managed to take some photos of the Bund across the river. After struggling in the cold, rainy and windy weather to catch some pretty photos, we ran inside Häagen-Dazs just nearby to have hot drinks.

After warming ourselves up, we braved the cold to the subway station and headed to 新天地. We explored around the area and took some photos of the nice Christmas decorations in the midst of some old buildings. We settled for a late dinner in the area in a random restaurant called 新吉士酒樓 before heading back to hotel for our rest.
